System Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a System Engineer in Owego, NY.

Responsibilities for the System Engineer:

• Apply Model-Based Engineering (MBE) methodologies to support system development and analysis activities.
• Conduct system-level trade studies and comparative analyses to inform design decisions.
• Evaluate alternatives to optimize system architecture and performance.
• Develop and analyze system performance models to validate design effectiveness.
• Design system interfaces and perform functional modeling and decomposition to ensure integration and traceability.
• Support requirements verification through test planning and execution.
• Participate in technical reviews to assess engineering progress and ensure alignment with program goals.
• Document engineering work products and maintain artifacts within the Engineering Data System Design Repository (SDR).
• Collaborate onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility with a multidisciplinary team of experienced engineers.

Qualifications for the System Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of Systems engineering experience
• 5+ years of applicable domain experience
• 3+ years of Model-Based Systems Engineering experience using CAMEO
• Experience with DO-254 and DO-178 – standards

Compensation for the System Engineer:

• $130,000 to $215,000 *Depending on Experience
