Senior Salesforce Developer

Location: Remote (U.S. Based, EST Hours)

Clearance Required: Must be willing and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Person who has lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years

Salary Range: $150,000–$165,000 (depending on experience)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to support a federal program focused on enterprise-level Salesforce platform development. This fully remote role emphasizes custom development, architecture, and integration across Salesforce environments including Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Tableau CRM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead custom development using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, JavaScript, and related technologies (75% hands-on coding).
• Architect and manage integrations across multiple Salesforce platforms.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Agile teams to gather requirements and propose scalable solutions.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Maintain technical documentation and assist in defect resolution across environments.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Salesforce Platform Developer I & II Certifications (validated via Trailhead)

Experience:

• 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, Aura, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL)
• 3+ years leading Salesforce Lightning implementations
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security, and development standards
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Copado), version control (GitHub, BitBucket), and IDE tools (VS Code, IntelliJ)

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide technical assistance and user support

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SOAP/REST APIs, HTML/CSS/XML, jQuery, and Bootstrap
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
• Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner)
• Prior experience in healthcare services, insurance, or other regulated industries

Work Schedule & Expectations:

• Full-time, remote position
• Must be available Monday–Friday, 9AM–5PM EST
• Daily meeting attendance is mandatory
• No side-projects or part-time roles permitted
• Occasional off-hours work for deployments (pre-arranged)
