Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring several NOC Tier 1 Support Specialists, responsible for monitoring and maintaining critical network and infrastructure systems. This position is onsite near Springfield, VA and requires Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance 

 

Responsibilities for the NOC Tier 1 Support Specialist include: 

  • Monitor network, server, and application performance using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix. 
  • Respond to system alerts and incidents, following established protocols for resolution or escalation. 
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting for connectivity, hardware, and software issues. 
  • Document all incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira). 
  • Collaborate with Tier 2/3 teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues. 
  • Maintain awareness of system health, uptime, and performance metrics. 
  • Support routine maintenance tasks and assist with patching and updates. 
  • Participate in 24/7 shift coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. 

 

Qualifications for the NOC Tier 1 Support Specialist include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. 
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical support or NOC environment. 
  • Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance required.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, LAN/WAN). 
  • Experience with monitoring and ticketing tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, ServiceNow). 
  • Strong communication and documentation skills. 

 

Compensation for the NOC Tier 1 Support Specialist includes: 

  • Salary range: approximately $95,000 – $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience 
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Sick leave as required by law
