Cyber Systems Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to support a company focused on security systems within the DOD. This position is on-site at Fort Belvoir. This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a national leader in secure, resilient power and technology systems. The specialist will work on-site, supporting the design, integration, and sustainment of advanced electronic security systems for federal clients.

Responsibilities for the Cyber Systems Engineer include:

• Administer and troubleshoot electronic security systems (intrusion detection, access control, biometrics, video surveillance, etc.)
• Perform system triage, resolve issues, and analyze system data to prevent future problems
• Implement and maintain secure IT systems and workstations
• Support system integration and sustainment across CONUS and OCONUS locations
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system performance and security posture
• Ensure compliance with STIGs, benchmarks, and federal cybersecurity standards

Required Qualifications for the Cyber Systems Engineer include:

• 8+ years of experience with Information Technology
• Strong system administration experience in secure environments
• Familiarity with Active Directory, VMware ESXi, and vSphere environments
• Understanding of STIGs, ACAS/SCAP scans, and network protocols
• Bachelor's Degree or years of experience in lieu of degree
• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required

Compensation for the Cyber Systems Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $140,000–$165,000 depending on experience
