Cloud Pre-Sales Engineer (TS/SCI)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cloud Pre-Sales Engineer for a long term position supporting the intelligence community in the DC area. The engineer will be hybrid – mostly remote but will be required to attend client site meetings in Herndon, McLean, and Fort Meade. This is not a hands-on cloud engineer, this is a consulting Pre-Sales role supporting multiple government customers in their adoption of cloud services.

This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Pre-Sales Engineer:

·      Evaluate client needs and make recommendations for cloud solutions

·      Provide direction for designing cloud infrastructure capable of supporting government applications, emphasizing scalability, automation, and reliability

·      Advise clients on cloud option based on specific use cases

·      Engage with cloud service providers routinely regarding configuration, policy, and controls

·      Work with defense/intelligence directorates to facilitate migrations from on-prem/hybrid to cloud solutions

·      Provide technical expertise on cloud implementations and research emerging trends, implementing solutions for various deployment models including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS

Requirements for the Cloud Pre-Sales Engineer:

·      Active TOP SECRET clearance with ability to obtain SCI

·      Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience

·      IAT II Certification (Sec+, CySA+, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, CISA, CISM, CISSP, etc.)

·      Advanced understanding of distributed systems in on-prem, hybrid, or cloud native computing

·      Understanding of systems and network infrastructure including AD, DNS, firewalls, etc.

·      Technical background in cloud engineering

·      Experience working with microservices, containerization, virtualization, and storage

Compensation for the Cloud Pre-Sales Engineer:

·      $150,000-160,000 annual salary (depending on experience)
