Zachary Piper Solutions is currently looking for a Network Support Specialist to support a DoD federal program in the Springfield, VA area. The Network Support Specialist will monitor system performance, assess alerts, and escalate verified issues to Tier 2 support. 




Responsibilities for the Network Support Specialist include: 

  • Proactively monitor application and network performance to identify and address potential issues early. 
  • Investigate alerts, validate incidents, and escalate complex problems to Tier 2 or higher support teams. 
  • Perform initial troubleshooting and clearly document findings in the ticketing system for seamless follow-up. 
  • Ensure consistent operational coverage and generate reports as needed to support team visibility and decision-making. 

 


Qualifications for the Network Support Specialist include: 

  • 1+ years of relevant experience 
  • Practical experience managing LAN/WAN infrastructure and connectivity 
  • Familiar with physical and digital security systems including IDS, access control, and surveillance tools 
  • Comfortable with extended screen time, seated work, and tasks requiring fine motor skills, active listening, and clear communication 
  • Skilled in Tier 2 troubleshooting and maintenance 
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred, not required) 
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance 



Compensation for the Network Support Specialist include: 

·    Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000 annually based on years of experience 

  • Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan, PTO (Paid Time Off), Holidays, Sick leave as required by law
