Java Developer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Java Developer to support a mission-critical program with the in Herndon, VA. This is a long-term, fully funded opportunity focused on delivering advanced software solutions for national security and geospatial intelligence. The developer will work on-site, collaborating with a high-performing team to build scalable applications using modern technologies like Java, Kubernetes, and Angular.

Responsibilities for the Java Developer include:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java applications
• Build and deploy microservices using Kubernetes in secure environments
• Develop responsive front-end interfaces using Angular
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet evolving mission requirements
• Optimize performance and scalability of backend services
• Support integration and deployment in cloud-native architectures

Required Qualifications for the Java Developer include:

• 5+ years of experience in Java development
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Proficiency in Angular and front-end development
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Active TS or TS/SCI clearance
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and Agile methodologies

Compensation for the Java Developer includes:

• Salary Range: Up to $160,000 depending on experience
