Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Java Developer to support a mission-critical program with the in Herndon, VA. This is a long-term, fully funded opportunity focused on delivering advanced software solutions for national security and geospatial intelligence. The developer will work on-site, collaborating with a high-performing team to build scalable applications using modern technologies like Java, Kubernetes, and Angular.
Responsibilities for the Java Developer include:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java applications
- Build and deploy microservices using Kubernetes in secure environments
- Develop responsive front-end interfaces using Angular
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet evolving mission requirements
- Optimize performance and scalability of backend services
- Support integration and deployment in cloud-native architectures
Required Qualifications for the Java Developer include:
- 5+ years of experience in Java development
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Proficiency in Angular and front-end development
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Active TS or TS/SCI clearance
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and Agile methodologies
Compensation for the Java Developer includes:
- Salary Range: Up to $160,000 depending on experience
