Deployment Network Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Deployment Network Engineer to support infrastructure design, deployment, and hands-on implementation of customer network systems. This position is onsite in Lorton, VA and requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities for the Deployment Network Engineer include:

·       Design and write code for selected customer network systems.

·       Support infrastructure design and deployment activities.

·       Develop documentation for customer systems and objectives.

·       Participate in hands-on installation and implementation of network systems.

·       Collaborate with Microsoft and customer personnel to support technical strategies and control objectives.

·       Apply certified training and product knowledge of Microsoft technologies.

·       Assist in delivering technical presentations to customer staff.

Qualifications for the Deployment Network Engineer include:

·       3–5 years of demonstrated performance in network engineering.

·       Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent industry experience.

·       Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required.

·       Valid driver’s license and passport required.

·       Strong command of CLI, patch deployment, and configuration changes.

·       Expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols and network mapping.

·       Experience with cloud networking technologies (e.g., ExpressRoute, Azure Virtual Networks).

·       Understanding of hybrid cloud and on-prem network integration.

·       Ability to create network diagrams, rack elevations, and cable drawings.

·       Familiarity with network security appliances and traffic management.

·       Experience with WAN/Internet transport and routing technologies such as BGP, MPLS, and SD-WAN (Juniper preferred).

Compensation for the Deployment Network Engineer includes:

·       Salary Range: approximately $110,000 - $170,000 annually, commensurate with experience
