Back End Engineer - TSSCI Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Back End Engineer to join a Federal Program working hybrid in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities of the Back End Engineer include:

·      Develop ground satellite operations software using Python and AWS services

·      Build Python microservices deployed to cloud or on-premise environments with a focus on scalability, security, cost, and performance

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams including satellite operators and software engineers to gather requirements, implement features, and resolve issues

·      Optimize resource utilization and automate processes using Kubernetes and AWS best practices

·      Contribute to the efficient and reliable operations of thousands of satellites

Qualifications for the Back End Engineer include:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

·      4+ years of professional experience in backend development, DevOps, or a related role

·      Proficiency in Python and Java or C++; experience deploying and maintaining software in Kubernetes

·      Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, EFS/EBS, EC2, and RDS

·      Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting APIs, distributed NoSQL and relational databases, caching systems, and event-driven multi-tier architectures

·      Experience building containerized applications and serverless architectures

·      Strong background in task automation and CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub or GitLab

·      Must have an Active U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Compensation for the Back End Engineer includes:

·      Salary Range: $120,000 - $175,000 depending on experience
