Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Commercial Business Development Manager to Join a fast-paced, mission-driven team shaping national security space programs. You’ll lead capture efforts across DoD and Intelligence Community (IC), focusing on opportunity creation—not just responding to RFPs.


Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Business Development Manager:

  • Lead full capture lifecycle: shaping, engagement, proposal, and post-award transition.
  • Build trusted relationships with DoD, IC, and space mission stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and leadership to align product strategy with customer needs.
  • Monitor acquisition trends, budgets, and policy to identify early opportunities.
  • Drive growth through strategic planning and execution.

Required Qualifications of of the Commercial Business Development Manager:

  • 3-6 years of in B2B software sales, ideally in SaaS, services, and aerospace-related industries
  • Deep familiarity with DoD/IC acquisition and space ground C2 programs.
  • Strong communication and executive engagement skills.
  • Proven ownership mindset and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications of the Commercial Business Development Manager:

  • Experience with complex hardware/software deployments.
  • Strong network within relevant government program offices.
  • Success in leading classified or special access programs.


Compensation of the Commercial Business Development Manager:

  • $120,000 - $155,000 (Full benefits, unlimited PTO)
