Senior Test Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join a cutting-edge defense contract located in Colorado Springs, CO through 100% full onsite presence. The Senior Test Engineer will provide full-lifecycle systems engineering & integration expertise for space-based & ground-based command and control systems that protect national space assets.

Responsibilities of the Senior Test Engineer include:

• Provide full-lifecycle systems engineering support, from concept development through operations
• Oversee technical development efforts, managing design, development, integration, testing & sustainment
• Develop operational concepts & architectures by designing system requirements, evolving architectures, & propose verification & risk mitigation strategies
• Conduct modeling, simulation & analysis, apply model-based systems engineering tools & techniques to support system design & performance evaluation
• Manage configuration & risk identification, analysis & reduction efforts
• Advise government program offices as SME supporting space control & national security missions

Qualifications of the Senior Test Engineer include:

• 9+ years of experience in systems integration, systems engineering, or equivalent in space or defense domains
• Master's Degree or higher in engineering, science, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field
• Proven experience in hardware/software and space/ground integration across both physical & digital systems
• Skilled in using MBSE tools & methodologies for architecture, simulation & analysis
• Experience applying Agile development techniques and/or DevOps processed in technical environments
• Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance

Compensation for the Senior Test Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $165,000-180,000 **depending on experience**
