Design Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking Design Engineers to join our team on-site in multiple locations on a 4/10 Schedule (Monday-Thursday) with Per Diem (Meal, Lodging, Car, & Gas). The current scope of work is to assist with the structural integrity of a Nuclear Facility that is currently in the design phase.

Responsibilities:

·      Under direct supervision of the Discipline Lead Engineer or Design Supervisor, prepare and check designs of intermediate complexity utilizing 3D modeling and 2D computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) automation tools

·      Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, project management, vendors and clients

·      Execute work in compliance with Project Quality Plan and procedures

·      Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations

·      Perform Concrete, Steel Structure/Building, & FEA Analysis

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or relevant degree

·      5+ years of experience of steel structural, seismic, & FEA analysis

·      Private Nuclear, DOE, or Oil/Gas Background

·      Proficiency with STAAD Pro, RISA, or Mathcad

·      Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Compensation:

·      Salary Range: 135k-145k with Per Diem allowance
