Senior AWS Cloud Engineer (TS/SCI REQUIRED)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to design and manage Kubernetes environments on AWS, focusing on containerized application deployment and performance optimization. You will work with infrastructure as code and CI/CD integration to ensure that DevOps processes run smoothly. This position plays a critical role in streamlining application management for DoD projects.

This position is on-site five days a week and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage Kubernetes environments on AWS for containerized applications.
• Manage infrastructure as code, security, and DevOps practices for AWS resources.
• Work on CI/CD integration and application lifecycle management.
• Optimize performance, troubleshoot networking issues, and ensure system security.

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in AWS and DevOps engineering with a focus on Kubernetes. 
• Demonstrated experience in system administration on AWS systems, Amazon EKS
• 5+ years of experience with containerized platforms. 
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages, hands on CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, etc.)
• Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training and at least two of the following certifications. 3 years of proven relevant experience may be substituted for each certification. 
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or training
  • AWS SysOps Administrator certification or training
  • AWS DevOps Engineer certification or training

Compensation:

• Annual salary: $150,000-165,000, depending on experience
