Senior Cloud Engineer (Top Secret)

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support one of our government customers on-site in Lorton, VA. The ideal candidate will be a cloud-savvy technologist with deep experience in Azure infrastructure, DevSecOps, and secure enclave operations, ready to lead mission-critical deployments in a classified environment.

Responsibilities for the Senior Cloud Engineer include:

• Serve as the Enclave Administrator (EA), managing deployment and maintenance of mission enclave infrastructure and applications.
• Monitor system health, including Azure solution performance, application availability, and capacity management.
• Manage operational systems and trouble tickets, escalating issues as needed.
• Conduct troubleshooting and remediation in coordination with system owners, product teams, and migration teams.
• Participate in planning sessions and technical presentations with customer stakeholders.
• Perform regular system maintenance, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle updates.

Qualifications for the Senior Cloud Engineer include:

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.

·       8+ years in systems engineering, with a focus on cloud technologies  

• Must possess CompTIA Sec+ within 30 days of hire.
• Microsoft Azure and Windows certifications preferred.
• Azure IaC and DevSecOps (Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, CLI).
• Experience with C4 and SAP network environments.
• Familiarity with VDI, databases, web servers, and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S Government Top Secret with SCI eligibility.  

Compensation for the Senior Cloud Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000+ *depending on experience*
