Remote Sr. Data Scientist

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Remote Sr. Data Scientist who will support a government contract remote.

Responsibilities for the Sr. Data Scientist:

·      Deliver onboarding demos and hands-on walkthroughs for customer data science teams, showcasing platform capabilities and how to efficiently leverage Databricks, JupyterHub, and AWS SageMaker/Bedrock.

·      Guide customer teams through their initial onboarding milestones including access setup, cluster provisioning, pipeline usage, model experimentation, and promotion workflows.

·      Serve as a technical point-of-contact for customer users during their onboarding phase, helping translate platform services into value for their specific use cases.

·      Build secure and reproducible data science pipelines, including data wrangling, feature engineering, and model development using Databricks and AWS-native tools.

·      Leverage MLflow for model versioning, experiment tracking, and lifecycle governance

·      Integrate with CI/CD workflows (Bitbucket, Bamboo) and infrastructure services (S3, Lambda, RDS).

Qualifications for the Sr. Data Scientist:

·      Bachelors degree and seven (7) years or more of related experience or Masters and five (5) or more years of related experience.

·      Significant experience in data science roles within cloud environments (preferably AWS).

·      Hands-on experience with Databricks, JupyterHub, MLflow, Bitbucket, and AWS tools (S3, Lambda, SageMaker, Bedrock).

·      Strong Python, SQL, R, and Spark proficiency.

·      Experience working in regulated or government environments.

·      Experience in customer-facing data science or platform enablement roles

Compensation for the Sr. Data Scientist:

• $120,000 – $150,000 *Depending on Experience.
• Cigna Medical, dental, vision, Holidays, 401k, PTO and Sick leave as required by law
