I&C Engineer

Job Summary:

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior or Principal Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to join our team on-site in Greenville, SC. This role involves offering technical leadership to engineering staff, reviewing construction documentation, and executing a wide array of I&C design tasks.

Responsibilities of the I&C Engineer:

• Guiding assigned engineers with technical oversight as needed
• Reviewing construction plans and documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Performing diverse I&C engineering functions such as defining system designs, developing control system architectures, configuring digital platforms, PLCs, DCS, and network systems, creating logic diagrams, managing process control systems, supporting and reviewing P&ID development, and integrating HMI and communication protocols
• Applying relevant National, State, and Local codes, as well as client-specific requirements, to the development of electrical design packages, technical specifications, and system narratives from concept through commissioning
• Preparing detailed engineering estimates for cost and scheduling
• Creating and validating technical calculations and specifications
• Utilizing computer-aided design tools as part of the engineering workflow

Qualifications of the I&C Engineer:

• 10+ years of experience in engineering design, cost estimation, specification development, and construction documentation. PE license is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems is required

Compensation of the I&C Engineer:

·      Pay Range: $100,000-$150,000 *depending on years of experience*
