Network Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support an innovative and multi-faceted telecommunications project for the Department of Defense in Hampton, VA. The Network Engineer will build and scale systems to assist various branches of the U.S. military. This position requires traveling for 25-50% of the time. Responsibilities of the Network Engineer Include:

• Build data communications, voice, video, and radio frequency networks
• Deliver hands-on training and expert support on network systems and new relevant technology
• Define technical requirements and system parameters to ensure hardware/software integration
• Perform root cause analysis and implements corrective actions for network disruptions

Qualifications for the Network Engineer Include:

• 15-20+ years of experience in Network Engineering with a focus on Cisco equipment
• Knowledge of VoIP/collaboration systems, switches, routers, and firewalls
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Certifications: CCNA, IAT II (Sec+, CySa+)
• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

Compensations for the Network Engineer Include:

• Salary Range: $180,000 – 230,000. *depending on experience*
