Principle I&C Engineers

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior or Principal Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to join our team on-site in Greenville, SC or Houston, TX on a 4/10 Schedule (Monday-Thursday) with Per Diem (Meal, Lodging, Car, & Gas). The current scope of work is to assist with structural design of a Nuclear Facility that is currently in the design phase. This role involves offering technical leadership to engineering staff, reviewing construction documentation, and executing a wide array of I&C design tasks.

Responsibilities:

·      Performing diverse I&C engineering functions such as defining system designs, developing control system architectures, configuring digital platforms, PLCs, DCS, and network systems, creating logic diagrams, managing process control systems, supporting and reviewing P&ID development, and integrating HMI and communication protocols

·      Creating and validating technical calculations and specifications

·      Reviewing construction plans and documentation for accuracy and compliance

·      Develop complex control systems logic diagrams and/or cause and effect diagrams

·      Create instrument index and datasheets, generate reports, and monitor design wiring and loop development activities in Intergraph SmartPlant Instrumentation database

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Control Systems Engineering or relevant degree

·      15+ years of experience with instrumentation & controls

·      EPC Firm or Cap Ex experience

·      P&ID Experience

·      Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Compensation:

·      Salary Range: 180k-200k with Per Diem allowance
