Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Micro-Integration Engineer who will support a government contract in Midland, TX.
Responsibilities for the Micro-Integration Engineer:
· Assess new product concepts and designs for manufacturability and provide such assessment and recommendations to R&D/Product Engineering.
· Develop methods and processes to manufacture new products in the safest manner, at the desired quality standards, and at the lowest cost to meet projected demand in a timely manner.
· Conduct proof of principle or proof of concept studies.
· Conduct detailed process design, including layouts, tooling, fixturing, programming testing and documentation.
· Continuously improve current production methods using Six-Sigma methodologies and utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.
· Provide technical know-how to troubleshoot problems in current production.
· Participate or Lead Safety, Kaizen, and other initiatives
· Responsible for qualifying new or modified product throughout the processes to completion.
Qualifications for the Micro-Integration Engineer:
· 3+ years in manufacturing or process engineering (aerospace or automotive preferred; oil/gas less desirable).
· Strong skills in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, process failure mode effects analysis (pFMEA), and troubleshooting.
· Experience with ERP, MES, PLM systems, and preferably Autodesk Inventor for tooling prototyping.
· Bonus: Coding skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) and strong documentation abilities.
Compensation for the Micro Integration Engineer:
- $80,000 – $100,000 *Depending on Experience.
