Cyber Operations Analyst (TS/SCI)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Operations Analyst to support mission-critical cyber defense operations at Fort Meade, MD. This role supports real-time cyber operations, threat detection, incident response, network analysis, and cyber situational awareness efforts across Department of Defense networks. The ideal candidate has experience working within a Cyber Network Defense Service Provider (CNDSP), Security Operations Center (SOC), or similar operational cyber environment supporting enterprise-scale defense operations.

Work Environment:

Full-time, on-site role in Fort Meade, MD supporting 24/7 cyber operations. Multiple shift schedules are available, including weekday and weekend coverage, supporting real-time defense of Department of Defense networks and critical cyberspace operations.

Available Shifts:

• TEAM 1 / DAYS / MON-THUR / 0500-1500
• TEAM 3 / MIDS / MON-THUR / 2100-0700

Start Date:

• October 19th, 2026

Contract Length:

• Until 2030 (10 year cycles)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity events in real-time.
• Perform incident handling, event triage, threat detection, and network analysis activities.
• Identify cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns impacting DoD networks.
• Support cyber situational awareness, vulnerability reporting, and operational threat assessments.
• Coordinate Computer Network Defense (CND) activities with DoD organizations and mission partners.
• Monitor compliance with cybersecurity directives, vulnerability management requirements, and IAVA guidance.
• Develop reports, operational updates, metrics, and executive briefings for leadership.
• Support INFOCON recommendations and cyber defense courses of action.
• Analyze network traffic, intrusion detection events, and security logs using enterprise security monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with cyber operations teams, intelligence partners, and government stakeholders to protect critical network infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of cybersecurity, cyber operations, network defense, SOC, or CND experience.
• Experience using security monitoring and SIEM tools such as ArcSight, Splunk, JIMS, CSAAC, PCAP, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, DNS, firewalls, IDS/IPS technologies, and network traffic analysis.
• Familiarity with threat analysis, vulnerability management, cyber incident response, and defensive cyber operations.
• Experience preparing operational reports, status updates, and briefings for leadership.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills.

Certifications & Requirements:

• Security+ CE or equivalent IAT Level II certification preferred.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.

Clearance Requirement:

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Preferred:

• Experience working within a CNDSP, SOC, NOC, or DoD cyber operations environment.
• Experience supporting Intelligence Community or USCYBERCOM missions.
• Understanding of DoD cyber defense methodologies and network threat lifecycles.
• Strong briefing, communication, and stakeholder engagement experience.

Compensation:

• Pay range: $120,000 - $140,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
