Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking an O365 Engineer to support the modernization and administration of secure, resilient IT environments for one of our clients. This role involves leading the migration of on-premises servers to a cloud-based infrastructure using Office 365 and Microsoft Azure. The engineer will also be responsible for the ongoing management and optimization of Office 365 applications. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Washington, DC.  


Responsibilities of the O365 Engineer include: 

  • Cloud Migration: Lead the transition from on-premises infrastructure to Office 365 and Azure. 
  • O365 Implementation: Plan, design, and execute Office 365 migrations. 
  • User Management: Provision new accounts, manage licenses, and support user access and mailbox issues. 
  • System Maintenance: Apply updates, patches, and enhancements to ensure optimal O365 performance. 
  • OneDrive Administration: Maintain data integrity, access controls, and sharing permissions. 
  • Exchange Support: Provide secure, end-to-end support for Microsoft Exchange in a classified environment. 
  • Customer Support: Deliver responsive, user-focused service and issue resolution. 
  • Collaboration Tools: Administer Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, including setup and troubleshooting. 
  • Security Oversight: Implement and monitor security protocols across the O365 suite. 
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of configurations, processes, and procedures. 
  • Training: Educate users on O365 features and best practices. 
  • Technical Support: Serve as the primary contact for O365-related technical issues. 
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal, policy, and security standards. 

 

 


Qualifications for the O365 Engineer include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Active Secret Clearance required. 
  • Minimum 4 years of Office 365 administration and engineering (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint). 
  • Active Security+ and OS-level certification (e.g., Azure, AWS, Microsoft, Linux). 
  • Strong knowledge of O365 services in secure, classified environments. 
  • Experience with user account management and Microsoft Exchange. 
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. 
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and compliance in classified settings. 

 

 


 Compensation for the O365 Engineer include: 

Salary Range: $100,000- $120,000  (based on experience)
