Sr. Cloud Network Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to support an intel program focused on supporting embedded software.  This position will be fully remote.  This job opens for applications on June 30, 2025. Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Network Engineer include: 

• Proficient in Azure, OCI, and GCP with hands-on cloud infrastructure experience. 
• Strong grasp of cloud security best practices and implementation. 
• Solid knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, BGP, OSPF). 
• Skilled in VPC design, subnetting, and SDN/virtual networking. 
• Experienced in IAM, firewalls, routers, VPNs, load balancers, and QoS. 
• Capable of maintaining and upgrading network systems and applying security patches. 
• Collaborates on deployment and troubleshooting of cloud-based network solutions. 
• Monitors performance, ensures uptime, and supports capacity planning. 
• Provides Level 2/3 support and resolves complex network issues. 

Qualifications for the Senior Cloud Network Engineer include: 

• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance 
• Bachelor’s degree + 8 years (or Master’s + 6 years) of relevant experience 
• Strong Terraform skills, including AWS Security Group deployment 
• Experience with EKS clusters and cloud/on-prem firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto) 
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, IEEE 802.1, DNS, DHCP, NAT, SSL, and TFTP 
• Familiar with DoD STIGs and IAVM processes 
• Skilled in configuring/troubleshooting Cisco IPsec, firewalls, IPS, route-maps, and NACLs 
• Participation in 24/7 on-call rotation required 

 Compensation for the Senior Cloud Network Engineer include: 

• Salary Range: $145,000- $155,000 **depending on experience**
