Senior Network Security Engineer - Secret Cleared

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to support a DoD program located in Sierra Vista, AZ. This position requires fully onsite attendance and an active Secret clearance. This role involves maintaining enterprise-level network solutions, supporting 24/7 operations, and collaborating with technical teams to optimize and secure network infrastructure.

Responsibilities of the Senior Network Security Engineer:

• Operate and maintain secure, centralized network solutions in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Perform policy/configuration changes and manage service tickets via JIRA and ServiceNow.
• Provide situational awareness and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and support legacy and modern network environments.
• Identify and implement network optimization strategies.

Qualifications of the Senior Network Security Engineer:

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering and security.
• Experience with:
  • Palo Alto NGFW
  • SDN concepts
  • VMware and Red Hat
  • InfoVista
  • Cisco, Juniper, Dell, AppGate technologies
  • LAN/WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, VPN, Firewalls
• Active Security+ certification (or relevant IAT II cert)
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Compensation for the Senior Network Security Engineer:

• $130,000-150,000/year *flexible based on experience*
