VoIP Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a VoIP Engineer to join a Federal Program in Pearl City, HI. The VoIP Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, enhancing, and maintaining a Cisco-based VoIP system.

Responsibilities of the VoIP Engineer include:

• Design, build, and maintain VoIP systems using Cisco technologies.
• Implement system enhancements and redundancy at additional sites.
• Serve as the lead engineer for VoIP support and system improvements.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and support.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing VoIP infrastructure.
• Provide documentation and updates on system changes and configurations.
• Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
• Support ongoing system upgrades and patching as needed.

Qualifications for the VoIP Engineer include:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Cisco VoIP technologies, including Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE).
• Cisco Certified Specialist – Collaboration Applications Implementation certification.
• One of the following IAT Level II certifications:
  • Security+ CE
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
  • Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
  • System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
• Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance

Compensation for the VoIP Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
