HVAC Designers

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for multiple HVAC Designers to perform work onsite in Hampton Roads, Virginia to support the design of a next generation lead ship to support naval and maritime defense operations. The day to day will be mainly designing HVAC systems using ShipConstructor in 2D & 3D onboard docked ships at port.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and validate HVAC system designs for naval platforms, ensuring compliance with military standards and project specifications.
• Generate and maintain detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and documentation for HVAC systems using ShipConstructor or comparable CAD tools.
• Support technical reviews, testing activities, and interface coordination related to HVAC system installation and performance.
• Collaborate closely with the onsite engineering team and other stakeholders to coordinate system interfaces and integration efforts.
• Capable of working effectively in a collaborative and dynamic setting, adhering to strict project timelines.

Qualifications:

·      3+ years of experience with 2D & 3D CAD Design

·      Designing HVAC Systems

·      Strong expertise with CAD Software (Preferably ShipConstructor)

·      Strong communications skills & ability to perform under pressure in a fast paced environment

·      Must be able to pass a government background check

Compensation:

·      Salary: 90k-100k
