Senior ML Engineer (Top Secret Clearance)

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Sr ML Engineer to support an Army program, on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance. The Sr ML Engineer will assist a US Army Command to create cybersecurity solutions that are ML-driven within a cloud-based environment.

Responsibilities for the Sr ML Engineer include:

•  Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements
• Liaise with government software vendors and other asset creators
•  Lead coordination of point solutions into broader capabilities for Army Defense Cyber Operations

Requirements for the Sr ML Engineer include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in an ML/AI development role
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java)
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Certifications in Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficiency in C++ (in addition to Python/Java)
• Extensive experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model selection
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software architecture
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S Government Top Secret Clearance.

Compensation for the Sr ML Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 *depending on experience*
