Sr Project Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently looking for a Sr Project Engineer to support one of our government customers on a hybrid basis in Merrifield, VA. The Sr Project Engineer should have a strong background in industrial automation and machine deployment.

Clearance: Public Trust or Uncleared (eligibility to work in the U.S.)

Responsibilities for the Sr Project Engineer include:

• Lead machine deployment or relocation projects from planning to execution
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers
• Assist with project timelines, resource allocation, and risk management
• Travel multiple times a year to assist with new machine installation, machine relocation/reconfigurations or meeting with vendors.

Qualifications for the Sr Project Engineer include:

·       5+ years of relevant experience

·       Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and ability to get/maintain postal sensitive security clearance

·       Project management skills as well as technical experience with industrial control bus topologies, PLC programming, and HMI creation or modifications are beneficial.

·       Good communication skills (verbal and written) are required for documentation, procedures, customer training and support work

·       Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Compensation for the Sr Project Engineer include:

·       Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 *depending on experience*
