Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Top Secret

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Machine Learning / AI Engineer to support a long-term federal program under IBM for a high-visibility opportunity with the US Army out of Fort Belvoir, VA. The position involves working directly with Army stakeholders to develop and deliver cloud-based cybersecurity solutions using AWS services.

Responsibilities of the Senior ML/AI Engineer:

• Collaborate with Army stakeholders to understand cybersecurity requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work with Army Security teams to ensure technologies are secure, scalable, and mission-ready.
• Liaise with government software vendors and asset creators to integrate point solutions into broader DCO capabilities.
• Deliver software capabilities that enhance the Army’s cyber defense infrastructure.
• Support the development of cloud-based architectures and machine learning applications.
• Contribute to the innovation and modernization of national defense technologies.

Qualifications of the Senior ML/AI Engineer:

• Tool-agnostic expertise in Machine Learning and AI
• Experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Cybersecurity experience
• Ability to build and deliver new capabilities from the ground up
• Comfortable with ambiguity and high expectations
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Active Top Secret Clearance Required

Compensation for the Senior ML/AI Engineer:

• Salary: $175,000–$185,000/year (depending on experience)
