Mid-Level Software Developer - REMOTE

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to join a Federal Program working remotely.

Responsibilities of the Software Developer include:

·      Participate in an agile development team supporting the creation of an integrated cybersecurity data visualization solution

·      Design, analyze, and develop systems and software aligned with evolving mission requirements

·      Write clean, well-structured Python code following best practices for enterprise applications

·      Solve complex technical problems with minimal supervision

·      Develop scalable, high-performance, and reliable software solutions

·      Build and maintain data processing pipelines, including both stream and batch (ETL) workflows

·      Integrate and manage a variety of data sources, APIs, and storage solutions

·      Contribute to the delivery of robust data analytics capabilities supporting federal cybersecurity operations

Qualifications for the Software Developer include:

·      3+ years developing backend Python applications with unit testing, event-driven, and scheduled features

·      5+ years building scalable, reliable, and high-performance enterprise systems using Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)

·      2+ years implementing ETL pipelines and RESTful APIs; strong experience with persistent data storage (RDS, DynamoDB)

·      Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes

·      3+ years working in AWS cloud environments with infrastructure-as-code and messaging tools (SQS, Kafka)

·      Skilled in CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies

·      Experience with cybersecurity tools and concepts, Kibana visualizations, and holding or pursuing AWS certification

·      Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Compensation for the Software Developer includes:

·      Salary Range: $107,000 - $140,000 depending on experience
