AI Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an AI Engineer to support a mission-critical Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program based in Ashburn, VA. This is a hybrid position that requires eligibility for a DHS Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities of the AI Engineer:

• Design and implement AI/ML solutions using cloud-native platforms such as Vertex AI and SageMaker.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems including ServiceNow, SAP, and Appian.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and assess their impact on existing systems and workflows.
• Support front-end integration efforts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and reusable components for AI integration across the enterprise.

Qualifications of the AI Engineer:

• Experience integrating cloud AI suites (e.g., Vertex AI, SageMaker).
• Experience supporting ERP systems such as ServiceNow, SAP, or Appian.
• Proven ability to create and manage data pipelines for ingesting and normalizing large datasets.
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required).
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Compensation for the AI Engineer:

• Salary: $125,000–$135,000/year (depending on experience)
