Senior Cyber Network Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cyber Network Engineer to support a stable, growing federal program based in Chantilly, VA. This position is fully onsite and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cyber Network Engineer:

• Work closely with customers on onboarding, updates, and troubleshooting issues with cybersecurity tools
• Provides customer support via phone, email, or messaging services to resolve issues and answer questions.
• Provides insight into efficiencies that can be gained from the current workflow based on an understanding of the customers’ requirements
• Work with Engineers on troubleshooting and building proof-of-concept network topologies
• Analyze customer feedback to assist in process improvement
• Performs engineering support and system administration of specialized cybersecurity applications and systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and backup/restore
• Provides Tier 3 maintenance and engineering support for deployed cybersecurity technologies

Qualifications of the Senior Cyber Network Engineer:

• 5+ years of related network experience (firewalls, routers, switches and load balancers)
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts is required
• Knowledge of and the use of AWS cloud technologies
• Must have or be willing to obtain IAT Level II or higher certification within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required)
• ACTIVE TS/SCI CI POLYGRAPH REQUIRED

Compensation for the Senior Cyber Network Engineer:

• Salary: $120,000-140,000/year **depending on experience
