Automation Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently looking for a TS/SCI Cleared Automation Engineer to join our team supporting USSOCOM at Fort Bragg, NC. The role involves designing and managing server and application architectures, maintaining system security, and providing technical support for enterprise-level systems. Candidates should have extensive experience with Windows server platforms, automation tools, scripting, and cloud services. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities of the Automation Engineer:

• Design server and application architecture and manage the operation and maintenance of server hardware and software.
• Maintain system security by implementing procedures and practices; monitor usage statistics and logs; address attempts to penetrate or corrupt server files.
• Provide technical support for enterprise-level systems and services, from planning and design through to deployment.

Qualifications of the Automation Engineer:

• 6+ years of experience in system engineering support for Windows server platforms, including virtual servers.
• 5+ of experience with automation and scripting tools.
• At least 1 year of experience with Splunk queries and dashboard creation.
• Strong experience in automation/orchestration using PowerShell and Git.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and PowerShell.
• Advanced knowledge of modern server/workstation operating systems and network technologies, including Windows and RHEL, to automate associated processes.
• Ability to utilize a variety of open-source technologies and cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Experience with integrating Git in CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (VLAN, subnets, ports, firewalls, routing, and switching).
• Advanced understanding of DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and other TCP/IP protocols and services to support virtualization and storage technologies.
• All candidates must possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance

Compensation of the Automation Engineer:

• Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 (based on relevant experience)
