Sr. Test Automation Developer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Test Automation Developer to support a long standing United States essential organization. This candidate will work out of Fairfax, VA, however the work will be done remotely. This automation tester will work with a team that is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining applications that support the main business functions of the organization. This role requires experience developing test scripts using UFT and VBScript. The following technologies and languages are all bonuses: micro services based architecture, API testing, REST, Maven, Performance test tools, Apache Kafka, Git, C# and Java programming, as well as experience with Selenium.

Responsibilities Include:

• Defining and applying the automation strategy in the development and maintenance of automation frameworks, solutions and test scripts.
• Accelerated development of advanced, complex, and comprehensive automated test scripts both from scratch as well as utilizing existing frameworks.
• Responsible for developing and modifying automated test scripts to conditionally run in multiple test, development, and production environments
• Provide software system testing support, verification of code and certification that all deliverables meet customer requirements and are free of software defects and/or bugs across the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
• Partake in occasional software deployment testing, regression testing, script development, performance testing, performance analysis, etc., which may occur outside of normal working hours both on weekdays and weekends and/or involve overtime.
• Design and prepare test plans and related test case scenarios based on documented, and sometimes undocumented, system requirements and/or business rules

Qualifications Include: 

• Bachelors Degree
• 5+ years of experience in test development and/or microservices deployment
• Thorough knowledge of fundamental VBScript programming principles, including working with conditional statements, loops, and multiple variable types
• Experience with Selenium, Java

Compensation Includes:

• Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 **depending on experience**
