Automation Engineer

*Active Top Secret clearance needed for consideration*

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Automation Engineer to support a large USSOCOM contract at Fort Liberty, NC. The Systems Engineer performs design of server and application architectures for the USSOCOM environment. This is an on-site position that requires a Top Secret Clearance for consideration. Will be upgraded to TS/SCI.

Responsibilities:

• Executes design of server and application architectures in addition to administrative operation and maintenance of server hardware and software.
• Sustains system security and implements practices and procedures; monitors usage statistics and logs; monitors and remedies attempt to penetrate or corrupt server files.
• Deliver technical support for Enterprise level systems and services; from planning & design through deployment

Qualifications:

• 5 years+ of experience with automation and scripting tools
• 1 year experience+ with Splunk queries and dashboard creation
• Solid Experience of automation/orchestration utilizing PowerShell and Git
• Experience with different languages to include Python and PowerShell
• Advanced understanding of modern server/workstation operating systems and network technologies sufficient to automate associated processes – Windows / RHEL
• Ability to use a wide variety of opensource technologies and cloud services (i.e. Azure, AWS)
• Integration of Git in CI/CD
• Working knowledge of the networking stack (VLAN, subnets, ports, firewalls, routing and switching)
• Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP and other TCP/IP protocols and services in support of the virtualization and storage technologies
• Active Top Secret Clearance

Compensation:

• $115,000 - $140,000 *depending on experience*
• Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K, Paid Holidays, Sick Leave if required by Law
