Software Developer - Active Secret Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Developer to support a long standing United States Air Force contract to modernize legacy Air Force software systems. This program aims to bring modernized DevOps practices to the USAF to usher in faster, more efficient, and cost effective software solutions to directly support the warfighter. This is a remote position that requires an Active Secret Clearance to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Designs, Develops, and tests software for Command and Control based products.
• Develops front end and backend of software prototypes, components, and tooling that can be leveraged to speed prototyping process.
• Pair-Programming
• Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) techniques ;develop software requirements for multiple Command and Control based products including the software architectures, APIs, frameworks, and libraries.
• Works with data scientists, UX designers, engineers, and product managers to help in composing cohesive and sound software designs that form the basis of scalable Command and Control software solutions.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of Software Development experience total
• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes and REACT
• 4 years of programming experience with JavaScript, Java, and preferably one more programming language (Python, etc)
• 2 years of experience with DevSecOps tools and processes such as Git, Concourse, GitLabCI, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix
• 2 years experience with front end frameworks
• 2 years of experience with Extreme Programming practices (Test-Driven Development, Pair Programming, CI/CD, etc)
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, Engineering or related field
• Active Secret Clearance required for consideration

Compensation:

$110,000 - $130,000 *depending on experience*
