Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Business Financial Manager to join a federal program based in Washington, DC on a 100% remote basis. The Business Financial Manager will be responsible for developing and managing program budgets and justifications, performing financial tracking and analysis, supporting solicitation and acquisition processes, and ensuring thorough tracking and coordination of funding forecasts versus actuals.
Responsibilities of the Business Financial Manager:
- Assist Program Managers with budgeting, tracking, and evaluating expenses.
- Prepare and manage financial documents like OTAs, grants, contracts, and agreements.
- Monitor program milestones and deliverables to ensure compliance with funding.
- Track and report on program performance, providing insights to managers and leaders.
- Create and maintain financial models and forecasts for programs.
Qualifications of the Business Financial Manager:
- 5+ years of experience in a federal government financial management role, preferably in an R&D environment.
- Strong understanding of Federal financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Experience working with OTAs, grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust.
Compensation for the Business Financial Manager:
- Salary: $100,000-$140,000/year **flexible based on experience**
