Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join a Federal Program located in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Platform Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of several platforms supporting multiple applications.

Responsibilities of the Platform Infrastructure Engineer include:

• Implement corrective actions to ensure the stability and efficiency of current platforms.
• Leverage networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls to maintain seamless integration.
• Oversee regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to safeguard the infrastructure.
• Create and maintain procedures to effectively respond to security incidents.
• Develop tools to streamline platform deployments, provisioning, and management tasks.
• Utilize VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT for machine management.
• Ensure robust security configurations for all host systems.

Qualifications for the Platform Infrastructure Engineer include:

·      12+ years of experience in related field

·      Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers using DevOps tools.

·      Must have Secret Clearance

·      Must be able to commute to facility in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Compensation for the Platform Infrastructure Engineer includes:

·      Salary Range: $120,000 - $175,000 depending on experience

·      Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
