Network Implementation Engineer III

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer III to join a Federal Program located in Fort Meade, MD. The Network Engineer will perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, servicing of network equipment and activation of networks for Department of Defense projects.

Responsibilities of the Network Implementation Engineer III include:

• Coordinate with customers, solution architects, and vendor SMEs to implement changes, identify, analyze, and resolve issues, and manage Service Orders in line with Change Management procedures.
• Ensure Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) are accurate for scheduled network additions and changes, and configure network devices using configlets.
• Validate and implement customer requirements by analyzing DISN and databases, and design and implement solutions to technical problems through testing, documentation, and configuration modifications.
• Coordinate and program customer circuit activation with commercial vendors to establish engineered solutions for end-to-end connectivity.
• Monitor the network to assess the impact of deployed changes on customer traffic, using expected traffic behavior, lessons learned, and customer reports.
• Use systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional requirements, and engage with DISA project managers and/or customers to resolve issues with incomplete or unclear requirements.

Qualifications for the Network Implementation Engineer III include:

·      5+ years of relevant experience

·      Bachelor’s degree

·      Prior experience at DISA or familiarity with DISA systems, processes, and organizational structure, including the Department of Defense policies and hierarchy.

·      Network certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, Security+, CISSP, ITIL), required

·      Must have an Active Secret Clearance.

Compensation for the Network Implementation Engineer III includes:

·      Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
