Storage Administrator

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Storage Administrator to join our team supporting a Homeland Security customer based in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you will be tasked with managing and upkeeping our organization's storage infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include supervising storage management, resource allocation, problem resolution, and guaranteeing the reliability, efficiency, and protection of our storage systems.

Responsibilities of the Storage Administrator:

• Oversee and manage the storage infrastructure, including storage area networks (SAN).
• Track storage performance, identify performance issues, and implement optimization strategies to ensure maximum throughput and reliability.
• Allocate and provision storage resources to meet the needs of the organization's applications and data.
• Diagnose and resolve storage issues, working with cross-functional teams and vendors as needed.
• Implement and maintain storage security measures, such as access controls, encryption, and data protection mechanisms.
• Perform storage capacity planning and forecasting to accommodate future growth and evolving business requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Ensure proper control and accounting of storage media in the inventory, and manage their release to off-site processes and on-site storage areas.
• Ensure all restorable media, necessary copies of software, documentation, and supplies stored at the off-site location are kept current and periodically reviewed for relevance.
• Maintain procedures for the delivery of backup materials to recovery facilities/sites.

Qualifications of the Storage Administrator:

·      7+ years of experience in Storage Administration or related field

·      Experience in Storage Area Networks (SAN)

·      Experience monitoring storage performance

·      Experience in IBM Enterprise Storage and Management tools

·      Secret Level Security Clearance

Compensation for the Storage Administrator:

·      Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000/year **depending on experience**
