Sr. Cyber Program Manager (Top Secret)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cyber Program Manager to support a critical DOE program for National Nuclear Security Administration in Washington, D.C.. The team is seeking a program manager experienced with complex cyber security initiatives for enterprise environments.

Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid)  

Responsibilities of the Sr Cyber PM:   

• Ensure the effective implementation of security strategies, compliance frameworks, and operational excellence.
• Direct the planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity programs, ensuring they align with business goals and regulatory standards.
• Set program objectives, priorities, and deliverables while leading cross-functional teams.
• Create, implement, and sustain a comprehensive cybersecurity program in line with industry best practices and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Promote the adoption of a zero trust security model across enterprise systems.
• Ensure the organization complies with relevant regulations such as FISMA, GDPR, HIPAA, and others as necessary.
• Manage risk processes, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
• Lead and mentor cybersecurity team members, encouraging professional development and technical expertise.
• Work with IT, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure unified security efforts across the organization.
• Develop and monitor program metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of cybersecurity initiatives.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership, highlighting program progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee the creation and testing of incident response plans and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the organization’s security posture and program maturity.

 Qualifications of the Sr Cyber PM:

• Active Top Secret clearance
• Bachelors degree in related field with 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, 4+ in program management role
• Certifications: Must have one of the following (CISSP, CISM, PMP, or equivalent)
• In depth understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, CSF, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001
• Experience managing large teams and enterprise programs consisting of 100+ personnel
• Experience managing complex cybersecurity programs, including budgets and timelines
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements; FISMA, CCPA, HIPAA

Compensation of the Sr. Cyber PM:  

• Total compensation based on experience level - $150,000 - $200,000**based on experience level**
