Senior Network Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team on a hybrid basis in Rockville, MD. As a Senior Network Engineer you will be essential in maintaining HRSA's Hosting, Network, Security, Server, Identity and Access Management, and Tier II Operations in support of the HRSA mission.

Responsibilities of the Senior Network Engineer:

·      Provide 24x7x365 infrastructure operations support, including on-call rotation.

·      Manage a hybrid environment (Azure and on-prem), requiring experience in Azure.

·      Collaborate with the team to complete tasks within the Statement of Work, covering Network, Security, DNS, DHCP, VOIP, Identity and Access Management, and Server Operations.

·      Review monitoring tools to identify trends and proactively address potential customer-impacting events.

·      Recommend process or procedure changes to improve efficiency or reduce costs in future projects.

·      Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software within the IT infrastructure.

Qualifications of the Senior Network Engineer:

·      10+ years of related experience.

·      6+ years of experience in a hybrid (Azure/On-Prem) application hosting environment.

·      Bachelor's degree in a related field (or four additional years of experience in lieu of the degree).

·      Expertise in Network Infrastructure Operations, Azure Networking, Administration, Patch Management, Vulnerability Remediation, Security Compliance, Performance Monitoring/Tuning, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Citrix, VPN, and PKI.

·      Ability to support a 24x7x365 environment

Compensation for the Senior Network Engineer:

·      Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000/year **depending on experience**
