Network Controller

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Network Controller to support the Defense Information Systems Network on-site at Scott AFB, IL or Hill AFB, UT. This position requires an active Top Secret or TS/SCI.

Responsibilities for the Network Controller include:

• Self-motivated and driven to seek solutions to resolve monitoring errors, using research and documentation
• Troubleshoot circuits using router commands, loops, alarms and errors, and other troubleshooting technologies and techniques
• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices including MSPP, Promina, ATM, and Optical
• Create and update tickets utilizing Remedy
• Utilizing network monitoring tools to monitor, track and resolve issues while escalating issues when necessary.

·       Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S Government Top Secret Clearance.

Qualifications for the Network Controller include:

·       High School and 3+ years of relevant technical discipline: additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree

·       Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date

·       Ability to work in a shift work environment as we are a 24/7 program

Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management

·       Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching

·       General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP

Compensation for the Network Controller includes:

·       Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 *depending on experience*
