Platform Engineer

*Active Secret Clearance required for consideration to this role*

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Platform Engineer to architect, automate, test, and deploy software in Kubernetes in support of the United States Air Force (USAF). This position will be mostly remote, however the candidate will need to be located in the Hampton, VA area should they ever need to be on site at Langley AFB for an urgent matter. Technical Requirements:

• A successful candidate has prior experience deploying Cloud Foundry and automating platform management at enterprise scale.
• The engineer shall have experience developing platform APIs that make common software operations scalable and repeatable.
• The engineer will have experience building continuous delivery pipelines. The engineer will feel comfortable maintaining the underlying services required to host containerized applications.
• The engineer will have experience responding to software outages and executing post mortem reviews including root cause analyses.
• The engineer will seek to maintain a high level of availability for all mission critical software systems.
• The engineer will be a principle to master level engineer capable of mentoring junior developers and engineers, or a standard level engineer capable of problem ownership and rapid growth. The engineer will also possess effective communication
• Skills to interact with various stakeholders internal and external to the organization.

Requirements Include:

• 8+ Years of relevant experience
• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or alike field

Compensation Includes:

• $145,000 - $200,000 *Depending on Experience and LCAT assignment*
• Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Holidays, Sick Leave if Required by Law
