Cable Technician

Piper Companies is seeking a Cable Technician to support a commercial infrastructure and technology installation project through onsite work in Red Oak, TX. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude who enjoy hands-on work.

Responsibilities of the Cable Technician:

• Assist with the installation, routing, and termination of low-voltage cabling and related infrastructure.

• Support equipment installations while maintaining quality, safety, and project standards.

• Read basic project drawings and perform testing and troubleshooting as needed.

• Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications of the Cable Technician:

• 2+ years experience in a cable technician role

• Candidates must provide their own PPE

• Exposure to cabling, telecommunications, electrical work, or fiber optics is a plus

Compensation of the Cable Technician:

• Salary: $20 - $28 an hour (based on experience), with 10%-night shift differential and significant opportunity for overtime
