Sr. Security Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Sr. Personnel Security Specialist to support a mission forward program with the US Space Force (USSF) in Vandenberg, CA.  Our clients’ investments in digital engineering and rapid technical integration will accelerate war-fighting capabilities and enhance situational awareness to keep pace with our country’s warfighting needs.

Responsibilities for Sr. Security Specialist:

·      Formulates plans, policies, procedures and other documentation required to deal with the operation of SCI protection functions and activities

·      Maintain and update the SCI Billet Structure (SCIBS) for the entire installation, and process requests for changes to SCIBS, including analyzing requests to assure proper need-to-know justifications, are enforced.

·      Assists with preparation of security plans, reviewing applicable guidelines, and established procedures for all areas of security to include Information Security, Physical/Technical Security, Classification Management, Communication Security (COMSEC), and Program Security

·      Working with security systems of record such as the Defense Information Security Services (DISS) and JADE database or the legacy Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) 

·      Preparing, processing and maintaining personnel security packages for Special Access Programs (SAPs)

·      Supporting facility and network security actions, inspections and daily activities

Qualifications for Sr. Security Specialist:

·      Bachelor's degree and 7 - 10 years of applicable experience

·      Must have an in-scope background investigation (SSBI/T5) and the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Program accesses as well as be willing to consent to a polygraph examination

·      Experience with Personnel Security and Physical Security 

·      Experience with Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Programs (SAP)

·      Experience with JPASS, DISS and various other systems

·      Experience with communication tools such as Microsoft Office suite (MSWord, Excel, Power Point)

Compensation for Sr. Security Specialist:

·      Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000 (based on years of experience and education)

·      Benefits: Cigna medical, dental, vision, 401k

·      4 Weeks PTO, 11 paid federal holidays
