Sr. Principal Linux Systems Engineer

*Candidates must possess an active Top Secret Clearance to be considered - will be upgraded to TS/SCI*

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a dedicated Sr. Principal Linux Systems Engineer to support a highly classified program based out of Washington DC. In this position the candidate will begin working fully on site. The Sr. Principal Linux Systems Engineer will work to integrate Linux resources into a primary Windows Infrastructure across multiple classification levels to help the end client overcome evolving missions.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate Linux Systems (currently, RHEL 7/8 and Ubuntu systems) into a primary Windows environment (workstations & servers) where authentication, authorization, and accounting actives are controlled by Active Directory with PKI certificates and Single Sign On
• Configure new Linux systems for customer use and ensuring that initial configurations meet required enterprise baselines & controls
• Ensure that already-provisioned Linux systems are kept in compliance with baseline requirements & ever-changing enterprise policy 
• Develop an operating system lifecycle plan with integration of DoD STIGs and other recommended security standards. 

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree 
• 15+ years of relevant experience
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT II compliance required 
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and a T5 or T5R within the last 5 years 
• Masters Degree can be substituted for 4 years of experience

Compensation and Benefits:

• $150,000 - $190,000 depending on years of experience -
