Secret cleared System Administrator

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an active Secret Cleared Systems Administrator to join a government partner of ours located in San Diego, CA. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for configuring and installing Windows operating systems and Microsoft products aboard Navy Ships.  

Responsibilities of the Secret Cleared Systems Administrator include: 

• Troubleshoot and operate Windows systems   
• Perform system maintenance and upgrades   
• Respond to network issues and configure devices  
• Provide tier 2/3 support for system and network infrastructure  
• Communicate with military personnel and coordinate various tasks  

Qualifications for the Secret Cleared Systems Administrator include: 

• 5+ years of experience working in System Administration or similar IT roles  
• Experience configuring or installing Windows servers, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and Virtual servers   
• Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification and be able to get an appropriate Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire  
• Must be able to travel to Chesapeake, VA for one month at beginning of assignment for hands-on training with shipboard technicians and travel (up to 50% but never more than 2 week at a time) aboard ships when not in the ports  
• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet ship’s schedules and ride ships if needed for critical work efforts 
•  Must be eligible to work in the United States and possess an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance. 

Compensation for the Secret Cleared Systems Administrator include: 

Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 (also eligible for OT) **depending on years of experience and skill set**
