Contracts Specialist - HYBRID

Job Summary:

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Contracts Specialist to work on a hybrid (1x a week on-site) based in Arlington, VA. This role involves overseeing government client contracts, aiding in agreement negotiations, and preparing contract modifications. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of contracting experience and a background in government procurement. Familiarity with Non-FAR based instruments is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities of the Contracts Specialist:

• Managing the terms and conditions of government client contracts
• Supporting the negotiation of agreements
• Drafting contract amendments
• Evaluating procurement policies and procedures
• Assessing proposed costs and prices
• Compiling necessary contract file documentation in accordance with the FAR, DFARS, and other relevant policies/regulations

Qualifications of the Contracts Specialist:

• 8+ years of experience in contracting
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in government procurement, including preparing cost proposals, negotiating contract terms and conditions, drafting contract amendments, managing contracts or subcontracts, and evaluating costs and prices
• Experience with Non-FAR based instruments such as Other Transaction Agreements, Grants, and/or Cooperative Agreements
• Active U.S. Government Secret Level security clearance required

Compensation of the Contracts Specialist:

• Salary Range: $135,000-$165,000 **depending on experience**
