Network Security Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join a growing IT team. This position is fully on-site, located in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities of the Network Security Engineer:

• Orchestrates, oversees, and executes the organization's information security initiatives.
• Evaluates requirements and potential solutions for technical and economic viability.
• Crafts optimized firewall and IPS rule structures and ensures compliance with standards.
• Observes and sustains the health of all firewalls/IPS and suggests enhancements.
• Creates and updates documentation for firewall/IPS procedures.
• Develops and maintains intricate schematics related to network security.
• Investigates, assesses, recommends, designs, tests, and deploys new network security technologies.
• Demonstrates expert proficiency in current security tools and methodologies.
• Under general supervision, assists network engineers.

Qualifications of the Network Security Engineer:

• 10+ years of IT experience
• Must have practical experience in configuring and deploying Cisco FMC1000 physical and FMC-VMware, Cisco ISE, and IPS products.
• Must have experience managing IPsec VPN, Site-to-Site VPN to Azure cloud.
• Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance is required

Compensation for the Network Security Engineer:

• Pay Range: $155,000-$165,000 **depending on experience**
