Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a qualified Atlassian SME to support a federal customer. As an Atlassian SME, you will play a pivotal role in providing senior-level engineering services and technical leadership to optimize our team’s utilization of Confluence and Jira. This position will be fully onsite in San Antonio, TX, and requires an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.


Responsibilities of the Atlassian SME:

  • Manage and optimize the usage of Atlassian tools, specifically Confluence and Jira, across multiple spaces and projects
  • Implement and oversee complex custom workflows, fields, and schemes within Jira
  • Deploy and manage sophisticated Confiform forms, views, and integrations across Confluence
  • Develop and implement robust permission management strategies and conduct audits to streamline access control
  • Provide user management, training, and support for the Atlassian Suite
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert on the implementation, management, and support of Atlassian products and plugins

Qualifications of the Atlassian SME: 

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Confluence macros including ConfiForms, table filters, pivot tables, table transformers, UI tabs, and shared blocks
  • Experience with Jira Structure, Jira Big Picture, and JSM Insights
  • Ability to configure Confluence pages with Jira dashboards and enforce Jira hygiene
  • Experience with permission groups and permission management across Jira projects and Confluence spaces is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required

Compensation for the Atlassian SME:

  • Salary Range: $150,000-$175,000/year based on your experience and skills.
